To resolve this issue and promote tourism even during winters, the Kashmir Tourism and state government have started chopper services. The helicopter service is available both from Srinagar at INR 3,000 per person, and Bandipore at INR 2,000 per person, respectively.
Travellers bound for Gurez from Srinagar can make a pit-stop at Manasbal and Wular Lake, Peer Bubo shrine atop Razdon pass, and the gorgeous views of Kishan Ganga River.

Securing assistance of registered travel agents will ensure you have a safe and cosy place to stay in Gurez. There are tented accommodations and there are homestays (Village Trekking in Ladakh) at Dawar and Tulel.
Finding fuel for your hunger
Tourists can get their fill of food at the local restaurants in Dawar which are few and far in between. Meals are generally served during the daytime, so it is better for travellers to pack in enough ready-to-eat food, healthy snacks etc. to survive in Gurez. Another option is to eat at the campsite.
